TOM “SPATS” LANGHAM is one of the best guitarists and banjo players on the UK jazz scene; star of many festivals including Swanage. He’s probably the best entertainer on the scene, with his humour, singing and unique ability to engage audiences in his love of the music. His band features three well-known figures in British jazz: Mike Denham (piano), leader of the renowned Sunset Cafe Stompers; Mike Snelling (clarinet and saxophone) late of Chris Barber’s band and Malcolm Sked (bass and sousaphone) Spats’s regular partner in his Hot Fingers Trio.
The music will feature some well-known tunes and some lesser known ones too, from the classic jazz age through to the swing era.
