He’s probably the best entertainer on the scene, with his humour, singing and unique ability to engage audiences in his love of the music. His band features three well-known figures in British jazz: Mike Denham (piano), leader of the renowned Sunset Cafe Stompers; Mike Snelling (clarinet and saxophone) late of Chris Barber’s band and Malcolm Sked (bass and sousaphone) Spats’s regular partner in his Hot Fingers Trio.
