Swanage Volunteer Bureau

Give a Little, Gain a Lot

Would you like to make a difference, use existing or learn fresh skills, meet new people, have fun and be proud to know that you have helped keep Swanage great?

Swanage Volunteer Bureau offers impartial information and advice on ways you can help many community organisations thrive.

Drop in to Swanage Library on the first Friday of the month from 10.30am – 12.30pm for a friendly welcome. If you can’t make that time the library staff can give you a list of the organisations seeking help for you to contact directly, or click the View Volunteering Opportunities button.

From One-off to Regular Opportunities

The initiative was set up following an open meeting of volunteer experts and local organisations who then formed a SVB Steering Group that includes; Swanage & Purbeck Development Trust SPDT, Volunteer Centre Dorset, Swanage Library, Swanage Town Council, Swanage Railway and POPP. It comes under the Trust. It is a free service to both organisations and volunteers that will complement Volunteering Community Dorset systems and local organisations volunteering strategies.
