Repair Cafe Swanage & Purbeck

The Repair Cafe holds a pop-up event on the third Saturday of most months for two hours, when our group of enthusiastic and talented volunteers make repairs to clothing, fabrics, household items, small appliances, jewellery – the list could go on. We also attend other events and hold joint events with compatible groups when opportunities arise.

Refreshments are available while people wait for their turn with a repairer adding a social element and the repairer will show and explain what they are doing to achieve the repair providing knowledge sharing and education.

The group is affiliated to the Repair Cafe International organisation which provides suggestions and advice on repairing items as shared by fellow Repair Cafes around the world.

There is no charge for the repairs but we are principally funded by our visitors who are able to leave a donation. We may have saved you a lot of money in replacing the item presented.

New members are always welcome to join, especially if you can bring a skill or repair knowledge whether from your job, hobby or other activity. There is no commitment to attend every event.
