Chris Walker brings his Swingtet to Harmans Cross on Saturday 2 February, to play a selection of foot-tapping, memorable melodies from the Swing Era of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington…. For this ‘Swing Fever’ programme, Chris teams up with long-time Chris Barber and Mission Hall reeds’ man, Mike Snelling, in a two reeds front line that has worked well and sounded great throughout the history of jazz and swing music. The front line is backed by the superb rhythm section of Paul Francis on piano, John Burgess on bass and John Bell on drums.
